Elder Ben Winslett, Founder

Ben Winslett began his personal ministry by speaking regularly at his home church, Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church in Shelby County Alabama in 2003. In 2006, he was ordained as an elder and moved from the Birmingham Alabama area to Huntsville to serve as pastor of Flint River Primitive Baptist Church. Since January of 2008, he has directed a radio ministry, Words of Grace, which broadcasts on stations throughout the southeast United States.

Ben and his wife Rachel are blessed with five children, Ethan, Lydia, Elijah, Annabelle, and Micah.

Elder Josh Winslett, Editor

Joshua Winslett was born in Birmingham, AL and was raised in the Leeds/Moody, AL area. Josh was baptized in 1994 at age 8 into Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church of Westover, AL. Shortly after graduating from high school in 2003, he recommitted himself to the cause of Christ after his wayward teenage years. In 2006 he began regularly speaking at his Ebenezer Church and was ordained to the gospel ministry on August 7, 2010. Josh served as pastor of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Oxford, MS from 2010 through the end of 2015. After much prayer, Josh and his family moved back to Birmingham in January of 2016. After moving back to Alabama, Josh served as interim pastor at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Clanton, AL until 2019. Josh is currently serving as pastor at Beulah Primitive Baptist Church in Leeds, AL. He is also seeking further avenues to serve others by pursuing a degree in social work at UAB.

He has been married to his wife Rebecca since 2008 and they are blessed with two wonderful children, Levi and Luke. Josh been a managing editor with the MarchToZion.com ministry team since 2008. Both his dad and brother are Primitive Baptist ministers, Elders Vaughn and Ben Winslett. You can find his personal website at PBPerspective.com.

Elder Ben Cordes, Editor

Ben Cordes serves as pastor of Lexington Primitive Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Raised in Talladega, Alabama, Ben was baptized at the age of seven into Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Later, he attended Beulah Primitive Baptist Church in Leeds and Concord Primitive Baptist Church in Wadley where his father Barry Cordes served as pastor. After marrying his college sweetheart, Hillery, in 2009, Ben began exercising in the ministry and was ordained as an elder in October of 2011, and served Montgomery Primitive Baptist Church for three years before accepting the call to pastor Lexington PBC. Ben and Hillery welcomed their first child, Joshua, in July of 2014.

Elder David Wise, Editor

David Wise serves as pastor of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Ackerman, Mississippi.  As a child, David attended Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Ecru, Mississippi, where his father, Elder Larry Wise, was the pastor and he eventually joined Bethany Church at age 15. David was ordained to the full work of the gospel ministry on May 16, 2015, and accepted the pastoral care of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in July 2015.  Soon after beginning his ministry at Macedonia, David was presented an opportunity to produce a radio program based in the Starkville, Mississippi area with Elder Joe Nettles, which became the Gospel of Grace Radio Broadcast. David lives in Starkville, Mississippi with his wife, Bethany.

Elder Marty Hoskins, Editor

Marty Hoskins was born and raised in the state of Kentucky as the son of a Primitive Baptist Preacher. He joined the Rose Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Maynardville, TN in May of 1986 and made his first attempt to preach the gospel in July of 1986 at the age of 19. Subsequently, he was ordained to full work of the gospel ministry in April of 1988. The following year, Brother Marty was married to Twanna Cox whom he had met at the Rose Hill Church. Shortly following the wedding, Brother Marty and Sister Twanna moved to the Metro-Atlanta area where they joined the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA.

Within a few months of moving to Atlanta, Brother Marty began ministering to the Shoal Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Canton, GA where he was soon called as pastor. He began serving there as pastor in March of 1991 and continued to serve there until March of 1997. During this time, Brother Marty and Sister Twanna celebrated the birth of their first child, Andrew in 1994. After serving Shoal Creek, he and Sister Twanna moved to Southeast Georgia, where Brother Marty was called to pastor the Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA. Brother Marty began serving there in September of 1997 and that service continued until September of 2007. During this tenure, two more children were born into the Hoskins family, Hannah – 1997 and Madysen (Maddie) – 2003.

In early 2008, the Lord saw fit to bring Brother Marty and his family back to the Metro-Atlanta area. In early 2008, the Dallas Primitive Baptist Church called him as pastor, and he as been serving the Dallas Church since that time.

Elder Matt Jordan, Editor

Matt Jordan has served as pastor of Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church for the past 18 years. He and his wife Mitzie are blessed with three daughters and a son-in-law, all of whom are members at Rocky Mount. His broadcast, Grace and Mercy Hour, is heard locally on WRAB 1380 AM.

Brother David Dyess II, Founder and IT Administrator

David is a lifelong friend of Ben Winslett who was one of many young men who attended Ebenezer Church during late high school. After the September 11 attacks, he joined the Air Force where and began attending at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church near Barksdale Airforce Base in Shreveport Louisiana. David continues to serve his country today, stationed in Italy. While David is not presently a content contributor, he is our “technological guru.” The original website was designed and built by David and much of the content that predated our current build was migrated to the current website with David’s help. Additionally, when something breaks, David is our “go to” man.

David and his wife Stanzi have two children.
