Extra Terrestrials

By Vaughn Winslett

There seems to be a common belief in the world of science, falsely so called, and among men in the world, that there is life on other planets and in other places, than what is in this world. We know of a certainty that God is, has always been, and will always be. God has no beginning; Eternal Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. God cannot end.

The scripture teaches us (by His Spirit) that God is in a place seperate from this earth. It was before this earth, it will be after. It is called heaven, it is called glory, it is called the Kingdom of God. The Jews call it Abraham’s bosom. It is where God dwells, His eternal domain. It has no sin, God’s glory is there in its fullness.

Genesis, beginning in verse one, tells us of God’s eternal being, of His power, of His wisdom, of His creation.

Only God is eternal. All else is created.

We see other beings which God has created. We see angels. Jacob saw them in a dream as they ascended and descended from heaven to earth. Genesis 28 v12. In 2Samuel 24 we see where that when David had numbered the people that an angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem yet God’s grace spared total destruction. We see the angel which spoke to Zacharias, Luke 1v11, and unto the virgin Mary in v28. Angels are servants to God created by Him. There are many examples of angels in scripture, these few should suffice as proof.

In Isaiah 6 we see seraphims, a creature of God which glorifies Him. In Genesis 3v24 we see the cherubims which God placed at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the tree of life. They guard and protect that treasure of God.

In Exodus 25 we see the cheribums in the two ends of the mercy seat with their wings outstretched showing Jesus, God’s grace as His mercy overshadows His greatest treasure, the children of God.

God is the God of host. God created all. God certainly created the heavenly creatures (1 Corinthians 15:40) and earthly creatures. All things created are for God. The creatures God created are for His purpose. Genesis 1 and 2 teach us of the creation of this world. God said, and it was. God created the light and seperated it, divided it from the darkness. God created the Heaven, the atmosphere we breath, the firmament in which the stars hang. God gathered the waters under the heaven and let the dry land appear. God spoke the grass and fruit tree, the herb yielding seed, and it was good. God set the lights in the firmament of Heaven to divide the day from the night, and to be for signs and for seasons, and for days and for years. They are not there for life of other beings. They are for the signs the farmer uses to plant his crops, signs to judge the weather, for days and years while time exists. The greater light to rule over the day, and the lesser to rule the night. The stars also. The waters brought forth life, the fowl that fly above the earth in the open firmament, the atmosphere we breath. God created; God spoke. It was good. God brought forth the living creature, cattle, creeping thing, and beast of the earth. It was good. All of these things were created first because they were all created for man whom God created in His own image. Let us make man in our image (Father, Son Ghost), after our likeness: God created man and gave him dominion over all. Why? Because he is created in the image of God.

John 1v3 “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” Scripture records the work of God and His purpose.

God made the world and the heavens. God gave man dominion over all. Everything God created is for His purpose in the election of grace that He will be glorified. God made life herein this world, and only He can. Scripture is truth. Scripture reveals nothing of life on other planets, only here on earth, by God’s grace, and in eternal glory by God’s grace. There is a terrestial body. We have not yet attained it because God has not yet resurrected the dead and changed the living, which He will do at His appearing. Everything centers around Jesus, His grace, His truth. If it is not of God then it is not.

Satan deceives, he cannot create, he can only imitate. He appears as a messenger of light, yet is the prince of darkness.

Jesus is the light of God, we should search the scripture daily as it testifies of Him.
