Dear ones in Christ,
The following email from Elder Martin Onyoni contains our schedule for our visit in Kenya. We will leave on Monday, July 19, at 9:30 pm from the Atlanta airport for Nairobi, Kenya. We will spend the first week of our trip in Kenya with Elder Martin. We will be busy traveling to many parts of Kenya.
The next week we will travel to Tanzania and spend 7 days with the church there. Five men from Zambia who are deeply interested in the PBC will meet us there and we look forward to meeting these brethren and studying the doctrine and practice of the PBC with these men. There are four brethren in the First PBC of Tanzania who carry a burden to preach the gospel. They will be with us each day as we study together. It is my prayer that soon some of these men will be ready to be ordained to the full work of the ministry.
While I am in Tanzania, I hope to spend some time with Elder Obey's children. All the reports I get about them are so encouraging.
I would request that you keep us in your prayers as we travel to east Africa to teach and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, I often wish that all of the Primitive Baptists in America could visit with these churches in Kenya and Tanzania and worship with them and observe how much they love the doctrine of Salvation by grace and the church of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are in their first love and I pray they will never leave it. Revelation 2:4
If you did not get a copy of Elder Vernon Johnson's recent update on the PBC in Africa, please let me know and I will be glad to send this to you. His update will give you some idea about how many doors God is opening in Africa. Brother Vernon already has plans to visit different countries in east Africa in Oct. of 2010 and January of 2011. He is getting requests every week to send study materials to so many places in Africa where people are learning about the PBC. He is such a blessing to this work.
I am so thankful that Elders Paul Blair and Charles Kitchens and a young brother Austin Wouters from Zions Rest will be with me on this trip. We hope to return to the states on August 3.
In hope of a blessed trip,
All of the Lord's people here are looking forward with joy towards your visit, and we keep you in our prayers and that the Lord may bless your presence here in Africa. And it is our prayer that the Lord may also bless our forthcoming meetings and that you may be of a great benefit to the Lord's people here.
As your coming is becoming closer, below is the proposed itinerary of your visit in Kenya. Any correction, suggestion or comment concerning this proposed itinerary is welcome.
