WE BELIEVE the Primitive Baptists to be the church of God in origin, faith and practice. No other organization on earth can trace its identity to Jesus Christ as the founder. We can give the names of men who founded the other organizations. All others are too young founded by the wrong party at the wrong place, therefore cannot be the church Christ founded. The Primitive Baptists were founded by Jesus Christ while here on earth. There was no other organization claiming to be the church for 250 years after the birth of Christ, Jesus said, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The church Christ founded did not have boards, conventions, Theological Sunday schools, salaried ministers, male and female societies to aid in the service of God. He founded His own church and gave to her a complete code of laws sufficient to govern her in all ages. The church He founded believed in the sovereignty of God, Election, Predestination Ro 8:29-30; Eph 1:4; 2Ti 1:9; Ps 65:13); Special atonement  (Joh 11:37-39; Eph 5:22-24; 6:24); Effectual calling (Joh 10:27-29; 5:21-25; 12:32; Ro 8:29-30; 2Ti 1:9; Php 1:6; Heb 8:10-12; 2:14; 3:5; Re 1:5-8); alien sinners are totally depraved  (Ro 3:1-31 Ro 4:1-25, Ro 5:1-21; Eph. 2:1-10|) faith and belief are fruits or evidences of life or the new birth and not the cause, (Joh 1:11-13; 5:21; Ac 13:38,39-48; Eph 1:19; 2:8-10; Heb 11:1; 12:1; 1Jo 5:1) they believe in good words to living children of God. (Eph 2:10; Tit 2:8); they accept nothing as good works not authorized in the scriptures; church practiced baptism by immersion to penitent believers; they contend for meetings to worship God; to care for the poor and the minister; and for complete separation between the world and the church and should not fellowship false doctrine or practice: how can two walk together except they be agreed? The bible condemns divorce except for a bible cause. The church has ever felt it wrong to form an alliance with man made institutions, secret or religious:  She is the undefiled dove, and should not affiliate with the daughters of Babylon. “My Kingdom is not of this world”, therefore should be separate.  The apostolic church did not have in her faith general atonement, means and instrumentalities in regeneration, non-resurrection of the body, universalism, Russellism, fatalism, two-seedism, etc. The church has ever believed that the joys of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked will be interminable. They have ever believed that our renewed spirits at death go to heaven, and the body to the grave. They believe that the body will be vitally changed in the resurrection.

These principles I believe and love. I am a poor sinner, and need the grace of God continually. His grace is sufficient for all His children in every ordeal of life.
