"The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God." - 2 Samuel 23:3
While Israel has been God's only endorsed Theocracy, here are two general attributes of any good ruler:
1) He must be just, which is a legal term. This means he is to be honest, fair and equitable with the rule of law. Opposite concepts are injustice and being unjust.
2) He must rule in the fear of God. Rulers must be humble! Arrogance brings down great men. For a leader to be a success, he needs to realize that he also has a King, God Almighty. Understanding his own accountability to a greater authority is a strength to any ruler.
Think on these things are Primary season approaches.
