Problems existed in abundance at Corinth. One such problem was that the church was taking the Lord's supper unworthily. (1 Corinthians 11:27-29) This language may seem strange to modern day readers. Is Paul condemning the Corinthian church as being unworthy to partake in communion? Or is this language referring to something different? In the same chapter Paul would also command this church to examine themselves lest they be judged by God. In this sermon Elder Josh Winslett explains both how the Corinthian church was taking the supper unworthily and how we should daily examine ourselves as we prepare to come together to worship.
